The Woods on French Creek Dog Show

Friday, June 11th, marked the beginning of the 2021 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Our residents always love watching the different pups strut their stuff so we thought we could do one better this year and decided to host our very own dog show! Although our patio is no Madison Square Garden we were still able to see a great variety of breeds. At our show, we had a Pug, Miniature Schnauzer, Maltese, and an Albino Doberman. Our Residents made some furry four-legged friends and had a blast doing so!



Our Albino Doberman, Carter, was a rescue from the Doberman Underground Foundation. He loves car rides and going to Lowe's. Before COVID he also enjoyed visiting our residents for therapy visits. The Pug, Frankie, belongs to one of our nurses, Kayla. He won Best Dressed in his stylish Hawaiian shirt! Kat, the Miniature Schnauzer, sported a red bandana that said, "Beware of the wiggle butts." Lastly, a close friend of our Housekeeping Supervisor brought in her Maltese, Sophia. Sophia LOVED all the attention and was so well behaved in the laps of our residents.



This year Wasabi, the Pekingese, won the best show at the 145th annual event. The Westminster Kennel Dog Show's mission is "to celebrate the companionship of dogs while promoting responsible dog ownership, health, and breed preservation."

The amount of happiness and joy that these four pups brought to our facility could be seen all over our residents' faces. Thank you to our lovely contestants and their owners for helping us put on this event.
