Taste the Love: Chef Kristin's Delicious Creations at French Creek

The Woods on French Creek would like to give a well-deserved shoutout to Chef Kristin who spoils the staff and residents with extravagant themed meals, making holidays and every day of the week exciting and most importantly, delicious!



Chef Kristin has always gone above and beyond for employee appreciation. It is something she loves to do for our staff, and we love her for it. She plans at least one homemade meal a week for the staff so they don't have to order out or pack a lunch. All they have to do during their lunch break is go down to her buffet and enjoy her food and a well-deserved break.

For Mardi Gras, she pulled out all the stops by making an authentic Louisianna feast including chicken and sausage jambalaya, fried okra with remoulade, kale and black-eyed pea creole vegetable soup, and cornbread. For Valentine's Day, she did not hold back any love as she prepared homemade sweetheart cupcakes, tomato bisque, and heart-shaped grilled cheeses made to order. We're so lucky to have someone like Chef Kristin who puts her heart into her cooking and goes the extra mile to bring smiles to faces.



We understand how important each and every member of our team is here at French Creek, so we always make sure to show our appreciation for them. Every employee plays an essential role in caring for the residents in their own unique way. We love to keep the energy positive and full of love so it spreads not only from management to staff, but to the residents and their families. Doing the work and having a lively team is key to having our premier nursing home run at its very best!
