Meet Cindy, French Creek's Assistant Director of Nursing
May 11, 2019We would like to take the chance to feature our Assistant Director of Nursing. Cindy Jefferson began her journey in the healthcare field in 2000. She started as a Dietary Aide and work the "tray line" until 2004. Cindy soon went to college and attended Mount Vernon to become a teacher. She had a change of heart and decided to take some time off. During this time, Cindy had her first son and was able to watch day time television while being home with a newborn. She shared that while watching the "Bonnie Hunt Show", she quickly realized what she was meant to do. At that point in time of the episode was during Nurses Week. The audience that was aired had so many touching stories shared that inspired her.
She went to receive her STNA certification in December of 2010. She was hungry for more and attended ITT Tech to achieve her RN in 2015. Cindy still kept pushing and achieved her Bachelors Degree from Chamberlin in 2018 and is currently pursuing her MBA in healthcare management. She has spent 11 years in the healthcare industry and has loved every second of it! Over her years of experience, she has held many different nursing positions from being a floor nurse, nurse supervisor, Assisted Living Nurse Director, etc.
She met her husband in Dietary and they had their wedding at the facility they were associated with at the time. They even had it at shift change so everyone could make, seems like she just can't "shake" the field she is so involved in! When Cindy isn't working she enjoys being at the soccer fields with her 4 sons. She also enjoys being a season ticket holder for The Lake Erie Monsters hockey team. Cindy thoroughly enjoys the Resident and team members of our community. She is grateful for the opportunities provided and continues to succeed with the company. We appreciate everything you do! Happy Nurses Week!
