Thank you, Holy Trinity Church!

The Woods on French Creek loves the Avon community that we serve and live in. We enjoy participating in our community activities and events and especially cherish the moments when our community comes to spend time with our residents at our facility. It's important to us to collaborate with local organizations, churches and schools to enrich the lives of our residents. They always bring so much joy and comfort to our residents.
This week, we had some lovely volunteers from Holy Trinity Church, located in Avon, Ohio, devote their time to working with our residents. Holy Trinity was open to working with our Activity Department to see what our residents wanted to do most, or what they would benefit most from. It just so happened to be National Apple Dumpling Day, so our residents and the volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got baking!
We used Pillsbury crescent rolls, canned apple pie filling and a little sprinkle of cinnamon sugar to make our very own tasty apple dumplings! Our residents really enjoyed eating the dumplings after all the hard work they put into baking them. In addition, Holy Trinity offered to supply flowers and vases to make arrangements for our residents to put in their rooms. While they waited for the dumplings to bake in the oven, they passed the time by putting together their beautiful flower arrangements.

We can’t thank Holy Trinity enough for offering their time to volunteer at our facility. They are always welcome back to hang with our residents!
