Trick-or-Treating with Our Avon Community!
November 9, 2022
This year, French Creek held our annual Trick-or-Treat event alongside our sister facility in Avon, Ohio, Avon Place. We are always so joyous to bring our community together for a fun evening of boos, laughs and, most importantly, candy!
Our event had a great turnout, with many family, friends and community members in attendance. To make this year extra special, our Activity Department partnered with the Avon High School chess club to carve pumpkins for the event. It's always so nice when local organizations want to be more involved with our residents. They made our residents' day with their creative pumpkin displays!
The creativity and fun didn't stop there! Our nursing staff and Maintenance Director worked hard to put together a haunted tunnel for everyone to walk through. Chef Paul satisfied everyone's tastebuds by cooking up some delicious food on the grill while our Administrator locked down a super awesome blow-up obstacle course. We couldn't forget the fire pit in the courtyard to keep everyone toasty warm. The evening went on with our activity staff serving donuts and cider with our residents passing out candy to all the kiddos!
It was a pleasure to host and reconnect with everyone. Thank you to everyone who worked to make this event a success. Another big thank you goes to our friends and families for joining us and making it a special Halloween for our residents. We're already looking forward to next year's BOOs!
Thanks again to the Avon High School chess club for taking time out of their day to make a difference in our residents' lives. It means so much to us! You can read more about this awesome partnership in the Cleveland.com article below.
